DreamWorks has released the first teaser trailer for Steven Spielberg's long awaited presidential epic Lincoln. This is in preparation for the release of the full trailer on September 13th, during a Google+ Hangout with Spielberg and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Not much is shown in the trailer, but it's enough to get me excited to see the movie even more!

The story is a revealing drama that focuses on the 16th President’s tumultuous final months in office. In a nation divided by war and the strong winds of change, Lincoln pursues a course of action designed to end the war, unite the country and abolish slavery. With the moral courage and fierce determination to succeed, his choices during this critical moment will change the fate of generations to come. The story is based in part on the book Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln by Doris Kearns Goodwin.

The movie stars Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field, David Strathairn, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, James Spader, Hal Holbrook and Tommy Lee Jones. Lincoln will get a limited release on November 9th, 2012, with expansion on November 16th.
