I thought Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington's action thriller Safe House was ok, but not sequel worthy! Universal Pictures seems to disagree because they've hired the film's screenwriter, David Guggenheim, back on board to write the script for the sequel.

The first movie followed a young CIA agent tasked with looking after a fugitive in a safe house. But when the safe house is attacked, he finds himself on the run with his charge.

Reynolds is expected to reprise his role in the sequel, but as of right now no official deal is in place. Washington won't be back for the sequel. You'd understand why if you've seen the movie. I'm not really interested in seeing a sequel, but it's happening.
