Timur Bekmambetov Set to Direct Michael Bay's HEATSEEKERS

Wanted and Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter director Timur Bekmambetov is set to direct the Michael Bay produced aerial action movie Heatseekers. There's really not much known about the story other than that it will center on an ex-military pilot who takes on a group of aerial pirates.

The movie is being written F. Scott Frazer from a spec script by George Mahaffey that was picked up by the studio for a cool six-figure payout. Frazer is currently writing a film for Universal called Day One, another for MGM called Metro 2033 and a Warner Bros. project called Line of Sight.

It'll be interesting to see how this turns out, Bekmambetov may not be the best director, but he tends to make really fun films.
