HELIX From Ron Moore Headed to SyFy

A new thriller from Battlestar Galactica developer/exec producer Ron Moore is on the way to SyFy. Deadline reports that his new show Helix is nearing a 13-episode pickup with a debut later this year.

Cameron Porsandeh penned the script and will serve as co-executive producer. Moore and Lynda Obst (Hot In Cleveland) are executive producers on the project. Helix is about "a team of scientists investigating a possible disease outbreak at an Arctic research facility who find themselves trying to protect the world from annihilation." Sounds like this could be a cool show.
