M. Night Shyamalan's Modern-Day Moby Dick Gets Pilot at NBC

Director M. Night Shyamalan is making the jump to TV. Deadline reports that Shyamalan has teamed with Eagle Eye scribe, John Glenn, on a drama that landed a pilot at NBC. The show is called Lost Horizon, and is from Sony Pictures TV and Shyamalan’s Blinding Edge Pictures.

Not much is known about the story at this time. The concept revolves "around a small fishing village on the East Coast" and is being described as "a modern-day Moby Dick, dealing with obsession and the unknown, themes." Shyamalan would direct the pilot, and Glenn would pen the script.

Sounds like a cool concept to me. We will keep you posted on this project as it progresses.
