Sony Pictures has hired two directors to take on the big screen adaptation of Rovio Entertainment's Angry Birds movie. The two directors are Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly, who are both animation veterans, but this will be the first time they've actually directed a film.
Kaytis has worked at Disney for 19 years as an animation supervisor on films such as Tangled and was an animator on Wreck-It Ralph, working on the film's end credits. He's also working on the upcoming film Frozen. Reilly has been at Sony since 2003 and has served as storyboard artist on films like Hotel Transylvania, as well as Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs and its new sequel.
There's no word of what the movie will be about, but if you've played the game, then it's pretty easy to imagine what the content of the film will be like.
It's set to hit heaters on July 1st, 2016.
