Tom Hardy Set to Star in SAMARKAND War Drama

Lawless and Dark Knight Rises star Tom Hardy is set to star in a war drama called Samarkand. In it he'll play a special forces soldier who returns from the Middle East with post-traumatic stress disorder.

THR describes the character as "a soldier struggling to re-integrate into society after his tour of duty with the British regiment the SAS."

it sounds like it will be an intense film and a good role for Hardy to flex those acting muscles. The script was written by Greg and Olly Williams, and they're developing the movie with Hardy over at Solar Pictures. Greg Williams will direct the movie, and it will be a first for him.

I have no doubt Hardy will be great in the film.
