Ford Talks STAR WARS and Mending Relationship with Lucas
While we wait for an official announcement that Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher will be reprising their roles in Star Wars: Episode VII, Ford talks about returning to the Star Wars franchise, the Indiana Jones franchise, and mending bridges with George Lucas.
Here's what he had to say to MTV about being drawn back into these classic franchise that he helped start,
It might be nice, depending on the circumstances, to revisit any one of those characters. What interests me now is the opportunity to work at all and to work in ambitious projects. I can't think that way. What I'm looking for is the next opportunity, the next ambitious opportunity. It doesn't matter if it's one of those. If it's one of those, great. If it's not, that's fine too.
With everything we've heard, it sounds like Ford will be back as Han Solo, which is going to be so cool to see. But as you may or may not know Ford has criticized Lucas in the past mocking his ability as a writer, when asked about the possibility of working with him again and how he feels about Lucas now he said,
I might have said things in the past that were characterizations of how I felt at the time. That was then. This is now. It doesn't matter.
So there yah have it! It's all good now because it doesn't matter. Lucas isn't writing or directing Star Wars: Episode VII so I imagine he won't have to work with him much anyway.
