Lee Pace to Play Villain in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

James Gunn is looking to cast one of his villains in the epic Marvel sci-fi space adventure Guardians of the Galaxy. According to The Wrap, Lee Pace (Pushing Daises, The Fall, The Hobbit) is in final negotiations. There's no word on the villain that he'll be playing, but it will most likely end up being The Collector or The Controller. Of course, a lot of fans speculate that he will Thanos, which I think is unlikely because he doesn't fit the character. Out of the choices I imagine he'll end up playing The Collector. That character seems to suit him the most, but we'll just have to wait and see!

He will join the previously cast Chris Pratt as Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Michael Rooker as Yondu, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, and Ophelia Lovibond asan aid to The Collector.

The movie is scheduled to start shooting in June, and it's set to be released on August 1st, 2014.
