DIE HARD 6 Now Has A Writer and Title!

Movie Die Hard by Billy Fisher

So, I am starting out with the fact that I have not seen A Good Day To Die Hard. Maybe it was a good movie, I just wasn't that enthused to see it in the theater. With that out of the way, Total Film is reporting that there is not only going to be another movie in the Die Hard series, but they already have a writer in place. Here is what they had to say about it:

Die Hard 6 - which is being referred to as Die Hardest, is currently in the writing stage, with Brit Ben Trebilcook penning a treatment.

There really isn't much of a synopsis out for the next McClane adventure, but the report says that the story "begins in New York, before moving to Tokyo, which will be the predominant location." Trebilcook came into contact with Larry D. Webster, consulting producer on A Good Day To Die Hard, while working on the videogame-themed actioner Knockout.

Here is what Trebilcook would like to bring to the table:

Getting Larry's support was great, but there are many hurdles to leap yet and two of those are called Bruce Willis and [producer] Alex Young. [There's] the possibility producers might go back and find some other source material to base the next one on, like they did with the first and second. Mine though, I feel it could be the Rocky Balboa of the Die Hard franchise.

To me it sounds like he would like to make the last film of the franchise. This is just speculation on my part, but Rocky Balboa was a fitting end to a franchise. We will have to wait and see. I do like the fact that they are letting John McClane take the fight to other countries; first Russia, now Tokyo. I feel that the every part of the world could use a little Yippie-kai-yay.

Do you think they should make another Die Hard? Would you go see it? Do you like the title?

Until next time...

Billy Out!
