Liam Hemsworth to Star in THE RAVEN
It looks like Hunger Games co-star Liam Hemsworth could end up taking on the lead role in a new sci-fi conspiracy thriller set in the near future called The Raven. The film will be a feature film adaptation of the sci-fi short film made a couple of years ago. Universal Pictures picked up the rights to it, and it looks like they are finally starting to get things ready for production in June. Here's a short plot summary for the movie:
Chris Black possesses a power that could lead to the destruction of the current regime, and they will stop at nothing to destroy him. The chase is on as Chris runs for his life in this sci-fi thriller set in an alternate and futuristic Los Angeles.
The film is being directed by Ricardo de Montreuil who directed the original short on a budget of $5000. This has the potential to be a great movie. I haven't seen Liam really do anything outside of The Hunger Games and The Expendables 2. All I can say though is that the Hemsworth brothers sure have a lot to thank their brother Chris for.
