Gerard Butler to Join the Sci-Fi Action Film THE RAVEN
Gerard Butler is in talks to join the big screen adaptation of the sci-fi action short film The Raven. The feature film was announced back in 2010, and it's been floating around in development hell for awhile. It's good to see that Universal Pictures is finally moving forward with it.
The original film was directed by Ricardo de Montreuil and was shot in Los Angeles on the RED camera with a budget of $5,000 dollars. It's an investment that really paid off for him. We previously heard that Montreuil will direct the film from a script written by Justin Marks.
The story follows Chris Black, who "possesses a power that could lead to the destruction of the current regime, and they will stop at nothing to destroy him. The chase is on as Chris runs for his life in this sci-fi thriller set in an alternate and futuristic Los Angeles."
Butler seems like a great choice to star in the film, so hopefully he ends up taking it on. In case you missed the short, you can watch it below:
