Henry Cavill to Replace Tom Cruise in MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.

Man of Steel star Henry Cavill is in talks to join Guy Ritchie's next film project for Warner Bros., The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Tom Cruise was set to star in the film along side Armie Hammer and Alicia Vikander, but he had to drop out so he could focus on Mission: Impossible 5. The studio acted fast, and it looks like Cavill will be the film's leading man! Makes sense, as the studio already has a good relationship with the actor.

According to Variety, Cavill was originally up for the part that went to Hammer when Cruise was in negotiations for the lead. It's kind of interesting that now Cavill will end up in the lead role. After Man of Steel comes out, Cavill will end up being a solid box office draw.

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. is based on the TV series which ran from 1964-68.  I've never seen the show, but the story follows "two agents of the United Network Command for Law Enforcement. With gadgets and their wits and charm, they fought the evil forces of Thrush."

I'm sure Cavill will be a good fit for the role. It's definitely a more interesting choice than Cruise. What do you think about Cavill being in this film?
