First Footage from Sci-Fi Thriller GRAVITY with Clooney and Bullock

I've been anxiously waiting to see what Alfonso Cuaron's new sci-fi thriller Gravity was going to look like. The last movie he directed was Children of Men, which was fantastic. He's been working on this new film for a long time. It stars Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, and Warner Bros. has revealed the first footage from it. Unfortunately, it's very short. They also did it through Entertainment Tonight, which means you get the annoying voice-over and obtrusive inserts. As one of my most anticipated movies of this year, and as cool as the movie looks, this first look was a disappointing presentation. Hopefully we get a decent trailer on Thursday.

Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) is a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney). But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone—tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth…and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.

The movie comes out on October 4th, check out the video!
