Jason Schwartzman Joins Tim Burton's BIG EYES
Jason Schwartzman has been cast in Tim Burton's next movie, Big Eyes. The movie is a comedic drama that is based on the true story of painter Margaret Keane and her husband Walter who ended up taking credit for his wife’s work.
Schwartzman joins Christoph Waltz and Amy Adams who are playing the married couple. He will play a San Francisco art gallery owner named Ruben. Keane is famous for her paintings that feature big-eyed children in the 50s and 60s. The movie also stars Krysten Ritter and Danny Huston.
The script comes from Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewsk, who wrote one of Burton's best films, Ed Wood. I'm glad to see Burton taking on this project because it's very different from what he's been doing recently. This will probably end up being his best movie in years.
