Joss Whedon Drops Iron Man Detail for THE AVENGERS 2

Last week we learned that Robert Downey Jr. would be reprising his role as Tony Stark and Iron Man in The Avengers 2 and The Avengers 3. A lot of people are wondering how his character will be portrayed, especially after what happened at the end of Iron Man 3. Director Joss Whedon drops a little detail about that, and I think you'll be interested in hearing what it is.

Iron Man 3 SPOILERS ahead if you haven't seen it.

He destroyed all of his suits and had the arc reactor removed from his chest. Whedon previously revealed that Stark would have at least one other suit tucked away somewhere that wasn't destroyed. Then the director recently appeared on The Colbert Report and was asked if Stark would still have the arc reactor, and this was his response,

"Well they just replace it, it's elsewhere. I can't give it all away but he's still got it."

So there you go, Stark still has an arc reactor hiding somewhere within him. We'll just have to wait until we find out where. 

Whedon isn't shy about dropping little details here and there about The Avengers 2. We've still got a long way to go before the movie actually comes out, and there's going to be a lot more information revealed between now and then.
