Hans Zimmer to Score Christopher Nolan's INTERSTELLAR
Let's just assume that from here on out Hans Zimmer will score every movie that Christopher Nolan makes. I hope I don't come off as sounding like this is a bad thing, because it's not. I'm just saying it's not a surprise that he will be scoring Nolan's upcoming sci-fi film Interstellar. Zimmer is an incredible composer, his Man of Steel soundtrack is epic, and I'm sure he'll continue to do great things. In a recent interview with Collider, Zimmer was asked if he was scoring the film, and he confirmed saying,
I wrote something…and I’m writing that. So, yes, we have started.
The film is based on a script written by Jonathan Nolan, and it stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain and Michael Caine.
All we know about the story so far is that it's based on the scientific theories developed by Cal Tech physicist Kip Thorne and that the story follows a group of explorers who travel through a wormhole. It's also previously been described as "a heroic interstellar voyage to the furthest reaches of our scientific understanding."
