We've got some more vintage Star Wars awesomeness for you today! This is a 1978 screen test for Boba Fett featuring a rare look at the character in an all white costume. This was the original design by artist Ralph McQuarrie. The stuff we find on the internet still amazes me at times. The video points out a lot of the details of the costume.

Boba Fett made his first appearance The Star Wars Holiday Special before appearing in
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back. Here's the note that came along with the video:

Many have seen the early Ralph McQuarrie sketches of Boba Fett sporting the all-white helmet and armor. What you haven't seen is the original white Fett costume in action. A videotape was rolling to capture "proto Fett's" reveal to Lucas and company at the filmmaker's home on June 28, 1978. In the video, sound designer Ben Burtt "hosts" Fett's reveal, describing the different weapons, functions, and characteristics of the costume (worn by Empire's assistant film editor Duwayne Dunham for the test).

You're sure to love this so check out the video provided by StarWars.com!
