If you believe that Stan Lee knows what he's talking about, then he just confirmed that Doctor Strange and The Black Panther are officially in development at Marvel Studios. This should come as no surprise--we knew that these movies were going to eventually happen. They've been rumored and discussed for years, and I'm sure Marvel will end up announcing them at Comic-Con later this month. Stan Lee got the jump on them, though. He let the news slip while answering a question about the Planet Hulk/Civil War movie rumors. Here's the quote:

"I'm not involved in those decisions anymore, but the people at Marvel are spending hours trying to think 'what will we do next?' and there's a damn good chance that they will think of just what you mentioned, 'cos it would be a great idea and little by little everything you want to see will come along, because [Marvel] are just like you, they're fans of the stories and they're trying to think 'what would the fans like to see next? What would we like to see next?' So they're working on Ant-Man, they're working on Doctor Strange, they're working on Guardians of the Galaxy, they're working on god knows what. And did I say Black Panther also. Those are the ones I know about and there are others that I don't even know about, and shame on them for not telling me."

This isn't the first time Lee has mentioned these films, but it is the first time he said that the studio is actively working on them. It will be cool to see what other films Marvel will announce soon! Phase 3 of Marvel's plan is sure to be epic! What other film or films do you think they will announce?

You can head on over to Flickering Myth to watch the video of Lee talking about it.
