I used to like Jack Black as an actor, but most of the stuff he's involved with recently has been kind of crappy. He also just doesn't seem as funny as he used to be. The actor is currently in negotiations to join the big screen adaptation of R.L. Stine’s kid's horror book series, Goosebumps.
If he joins the movie, he'll be re-teaming with director Rob Letterman, who worked with Black on Shark Tale, and the terrible film, Gulliver's Travels.
According to The Wrap, if Black is cast he "would play a Stine-like author whose scary characters literally leap off the page, forcing him to hide from his own creepy creations."
That's the first bit of plot information that we've seen for the movie so far. I hope it turns out to be good. I think there's a lot of potential, I'm just not too thrilled about the people who are working on the project.
