3 Million FROZEN Costumes Sold in North America
Disney announced that they have sold three million Frozen princess dresses in North America over the past year, which sounds insane. A week before Halloween I was at a party, and out of 75 people five were Elsa from Frozen. On Halloween I saw a bunch of little girls as Elsa but only one Anna. Another dad I talked to told me there were 19 Elsas in his daughter's school costume parade. It seemed like Frozen took over Halloween until I saw that the highest selling costume for boys was Spider-Man, with 2.6 million dressing as their favorite web slinger. With costumes costing from $30-$100 it's no wonder the costume industry does $2.5 billion in sales per year, which is only a small part of the $7 billion we all spend on Halloween.
