343 Industries Added HALO 3: ODST to THE MASTER CHIEF COLLECTION on PC and It's Incredible

Last week, 343 Industries added one of my favorite Halo games to Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC: Halo 3: ODST. I absolutely love this game and this is a great way to celebrate 11 years of the game. In addition to the ODST campaign (which is definitely in my top 3 Halo campaigns), ODST Firefight is now available to play with “online matchmaking, dedicated servers, and new custom game modes.” Being added to the MCC means improved graphics as well!

343 Industries was kind enough to send me a copy of MCC and I’ve been absolutely loving re-living the ODST experience. The campaign is incredible with variable framerate that can easily reach 60 frames-per-second (or higher) and support for 4K UHD makes this a very pretty game. The Firefight addition is also a lot of fun. I’ve been able to hop into a number of games with random people via the online matchmaking and it’s great! It’s so much fun to have the cooperative experience. There are plenty of ways to customize the game mode for a unique experience, or you can quickly drop in a standard game to meet the needs of any player.

Of course, for me, the true gem of ODST is the amazing campaign. Instead of playing as Master Chief, you play as The Rookie and other Orbital Drop Shock Troopers sent to Earth in an effort to repel the Covenant. I love the fact that you’re no longer the one man army that is Master Chief, but instead something closer to an ordinary soldier who needs to work miracles. It’s so amazing! Definitely a big selling point to me for grabbing MCC.

Fans can play MCC on PC now via Xbox Game Pass on PC, Windows 10, and Steam. I can’t recommend it enough if you enjoy first person shooters.
