343 Industries Looks Back on the Year and Reveals What's in the Future for HALO: THE MASTER CHIEF COLLECTION
We’re approaching the end of the year and several companies are looking back on the year. 343 Industries have released a new blog post looking back on bringing Halo: The Master Chief Collection to PC and getting it on the Xbox Series consoles and bringing Reach to the collection.
On the post you can find a lot of great information as the team looks back, but I want to discuss Farns’ piece where he talks about what fans can expect in 2021. For starters, we’re about to get into Season 5 of the online fun and the team has goodies planned through Season 10 at which point they’ll reevaluate the situation. It is also teased that more items are coming to the Forge mode where players can create custom levels. They are also continuing their dedicated team to work out bugs in the game.
The biggest piece of news though was that the team is working on support for Mods. This is going to be the team’s main focus for the next year and they’re wanting fans to be able to create new content and support the games as long as there is demand. I wonder what the first mods will be.
Below I’ve included the development status shared. I know it’s not likely, but PC split-screen would be awesome. What are you most excited for? Oh, and the above armor will be part of the upcoming season’s content.
