8-Bit Cinema Tackles ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND
When I first saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, it was in pieces over the course of a few days. That is the wrong way to watch this movie, and when I revisited it in its entirety a couple of years later, I was absolutely gutted by it. This is one of the most emotional and moving films I've ever seen, and it contains career-best work from Kate Winslet and Jim Carrey.
Even watching this new edition of 8-Bit Cinema, which reframes the film as a point-and-click video game, the emotions come flooding back from the last time I saw this movie. If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and check it out. Just don't make the same mistake I did the first time: make sure to watch the whole thing in one sitting.
CineFix presents Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind told via old-school 8-bit (and a little 16 bit ;) game tech. Because 80s-era video games could use a little more magical realism, right?!?
