A SUICIDE SQUAD Sequel Is Already Being Planned at Warner Bros.
Buried in a recent report from The Wrap is word that Warner Bros. is already planning a Suicide Squad sequel that they plan on releasing in 2017.
The site reports that there's a new Will Smith and Joel Edgerton police thriller called Bright that will be directed by David Ayer, and that both Ayer and Smith are slipping this movie into their schedules before the planned sequel to the DC super villain film Suicide Squad.
I absolutely love what I've seen from the upcoming film. It looks awesome, and I have a feeling it's going to do very well. Hell, I'm more excited about this movie than I am for Batman v Superman.
Even though I haven't seen the first film yet, I was hoping that this wouldn't be the only film involving these characters. The Suicide Squad is just such a fun and colorful group of villainous characters, and it'd be a shame if they didn't tell more than one story, so it's awesome to hear that there are plans in place to keep it going.
Ayer will be back to direct the movie, and I imagine the majority of the cast will be back to reprise their roles as well.
