AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Spinoff Series Will Feature Mockingbird
Earlier this month it was announced that Marvel is planning a Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff series. There wasn't much information on what that series would involve at the time, but now we have a better idea of what they are planning thanks to Deadline.
The series will center around the characters Mockingbird and Lance Hunter, former husband and wife who also operate as super spies. They are played by Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood in season 2 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and they are currently finalizing their deals to headline the the new series.
Apparently, the offshoot will be set up by an event from this season of S.H.I.E.L.D. The plot of the new series has yet to be revealed. ABC will make its final decision on the series after a script comes in. If it gets picked up, the series will most likely act as a bridge between seasons of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
I like these two characters, but I'm not expecting to see anything better than what we are already seeing in S.H.I.E.L.D. Executive producer Jeffrey Bell and co-executive producer Paul Zbyszewski are currently writing the script.
Are you looking forward to seeing a spinoff series with Mockingbird and Hunter?
