Alternate Batman Designs Revealed in Concept Art for BATMAN V SUPERMAN
Ben Affleck's Batman in Batman v Superman could have had a completely different look! This concept art shows us a couple of the alternate designs for the Dark Knight, and it's definitely a lot more technical that what director Zack Snyder ended up using.
The art was created by Constantine Sekeris, who was brought on board to help costume designer Michael Wilkinson brought in to work on the costume designs for the film. In a previously released episode of DC All Access, Wilkinson talked about working on the suit design:
"For Batman, it was really important for Zack that we created a whole new Batman. The most important thing for our Batman is that he comes across a real hulking, big guy.' He's super-pumped up. He's going to be even bigger than Superman's silhouette. So his strength is not through armor and gadgets and things, it is that he is a tower of muscle. Zack Snyder is a huge fan of Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns and we looked a lot at that silhouette."
As you can see, these alternate designs aren't that. As cool as these costume designs are, I still think the one they ended up using for the film was the best option. I loved that Batman suit! What do you all think of these alternate designs?
