Arnold Schwarzenegger Lands a New Action Film Project BREAKOUT From the Director of EXPENDABLES 4

Arnold Schwarzenegger is making his way back to the big screen in a new action-thriller film project titled Breakout! The movie is being helmed by Expendables 4 director Scott Waugh, and it will be the first movie that Schwarzenegger has starred in since the 12019 film Terminator: Dark Fate.

In the movie, Schwarzenegger will take on the role of Terry Reynolds. “When his stepson, Daniel, is framed and sentenced to 25 years in a foreign country, Reynolds makes a daring jailbreak to save him and must overcome an overzealous prison warden in a race against time to avoid capture and flee the country.”

The script for the movie came from Richard D’Ovidio, and is based on a story he co-created with Nicole D’Ovidio. D’Ovidio is currently writing for the Apple original series The Last Frontier which he co-created. He also wrote the screenplay for the thriller The Call starring Halle Berry.

This will be a big-budget project, and it sounds like the kind of film that Schwarzenegger will enjoy being a part of, and I would love nothing more than for the movie to be good! The next Schwarzenegger project to be released is a great-looking spy action thriller series from Netflix titled Fubar.

Producer Sebastien Raybaud said in a statement: “We are proud to be on board to make Scott’s vision come alive with the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger in the lead. This is the perfect fit for Anton’s slate to continue delivering high-quality entertainment with big scale to the global market.”

Producer Jeff Elliott added: “We couldn’t be more excited to be working with Scott, fresh off the much-anticipated Expendables 4, which is going to be huge. Pair that with Arnold, arguably the greatest action star in the history of film, and this is going to be a very fun ride for audiences all over the world.”

The project is set to start production later this year in Eastern Europe. Are you excited to see Schwarzenegger back in the movies!?
