ARROW Season 4 Trailer Reels Oliver Back In

Arrow star Stephen Amell just shared the new trailer for the show's fourth season on his Facebook page, and if I watched the show, I'd imagine I'd be going crazy for it.

But since I don't watch the show, all I can see are similarities to Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. I know that's been a criticism that's been with the show since its very first trailer, but all the hinting about how a hero's existence causes escalation and the fact that Neal McDonough's Damien Darhk sounds like a low-rent version of Ra's Al Ghul (who, yes, I know is a character in this universe also) just strikes me — again as someone who doesn't watch — as a TV version of the Batman story, but with Green Arrow standing in for Batman.

Am I wrong? Does the show really stand on its own, or does it sort of feel that way to those of you who watch it?
