BATMAN V SUPERMAN Spoilers Provide Cameo Details About Aquaman and The Flash

We've written ad nauseam about how important Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is to Warner Bros./DC's overall plans, because even though Man of Steel is set in this same universe, this will be the first movie to bring together multiple heroes and begin to set the stage for its Justice League films. An official synopsis for the film was released not too long ago, and while we have a decent idea of how Batman and Superman factor in to the action, we haven't heard much about exactly how the other heroes are going to show up.

Now Heroic Hollywood has a report that confirms Daily Superhero's scoop about The Flash's apperaance, as well as some new information about how we'll see Jason Momoa's Aquaman in the movie. This information should be considered SPOILERS, so turn back now if you don't want to have these moments ruined for you beforehand.

OK, here we go:

In the movie, there is a scene where Batman breaks deep into Lexcorp/Cadmus and manages to hack into the Lexcorp computers. Batman brings up surveillance footage on the monitors which shows the following:
  • Ezra Miller's The Flash is a blur that stops a robbery.
  • Jason Momoa's Aquaman is held prisoner in a containment chamber where we see his hand slap against the glass.
Could Aquaman's imprisonment have something to do also with the upcoming Suicide Squad. It is heavily rumored that Suicide Squad takes place in between the events of Man of Steel Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

That Aquaman info is interesting, because it obviously leads us to question who has captured him and why (and how, for that matter). If this is true, it seems like this will be the only time we see those two characters in the movie. While many are likely going to be disappointed by this news, I think I'm actually pretty happy about it. One of the problems I had with Avengers: Age of Ultron was that it felt a little too scattered with all of the characters it had to juggle, and in that movie, we already had a good sense of who most of them were. In Batman V Superman, we're really only going to have a sense of Superman and Lois Lane, and practically every other character is going to be a new version, so this film is going to have to cover a lot of ground character-wise. I for one am glad that the focus will likely remain more on the title characters instead of spreading itself too thin too early.

What do you think?
