BATMAN V SUPERMAN Will Have an R-Rated Ultimate Edition
It's no secret that fans have wanted to see an R-rated live-action Batman film after all these years. I just didn't think it would ever happen. But it looks like it's actually coming! According to Stitch Kingdom, director Zack Snyder has plans to cut together an R-rated version of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on Blu-ray/DVD!
It's being called the "Ultimate Edition," and according to the intel the site received, the movie will be rated R for "sequences of violence." I imagine we'll get to see the completely brutal version of Batman that we've always wanted to see.
This isn't the first time Warner Bros. has done this. They also released an R-rated version of Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies. Also, since the film has already completed shooting, the plan for this version of the film was most likely in play before the success of Deadpool.
There are no other details, but we'll fill you in on them as they become available.
