Brad Pitt Is the Latest Actor Rumored to Be Up for Cable in DEADPOOL 2!
A couple days ago Deadpool 2 screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick said that the casting for Cable would be announced soon. While we wait for that big announcement, a new rumor about who might be cast in the role has surfaced. According to The Tracking Board's Jeff Sneider, that actor is Brad Pitt! He tweeted the following comment with a link to a completely unrelated story:
"Will be interesting to see if Brad Pitt plays Cable..."
Snyder is known for getting a lot of entertainment scoops like this, so it's very possible that Pitt is at least up for the role. Whether or not the filmmakers decide to cast Pitt or he decides to take the job has yet to be seen.
I do have to say that the mention of Brad Pitt being up for the role of Cable in a tweet that's about something totally different is a bit odd, but that's what he did. The main post he linked to was a profile piece on actress Isabella Amara, who is in Spider-Man: Homecoming. I don't see why a guy in his position would tweet about this if there wasn't any kind of truth to it. I guess we'll find out soon when the casting if officially announced! After that we can put an end to all the Cable casting rumors.
I actually think Pitt would be an interesting choice and could pull it off, but I still like the idea of David Harbour (Stranger Things) playing Cable more. What would you think about seeing Pitt in the role of Cable?
