Brie Larson Describes What Her Version of CAPTAIN MARVEL Will Be
I like the fact that Brie Larson is going to be playing Captain Marvel for Marvel Studios. She's a great actress that I think is going to do great things with the character. She's definitely been doing her research and she'll make her MCU debut in Avengers: Infinity War.
The actress recently appeared in Sci Fi Now Magazine (via Reddit), and it's there that she revealed more about the version of Carol Danvers a.k.a. Captain Marvel that we'll see in the film. She teased:
"To be fair, there are a lot of iterations of her, so there's going to be some people there who think this isn't right. She's a believer in truth and justice and she is a bridge between Earth and space. She's fighting between the flaws that are within her and all this good that she wants to try and spread and make the world a better place. She can also fly and shoot things out of her hands. And she's really funny!"
Sounds to me like she's got a handle on things and she's going to give fans a version of the character that will encompass the attributes of the many iterations of the character. Marvel movie fans tend to be very accepting of how they bring their characters to the big screen, and I imagine that won't be any different with Captain Marvel. It'll be interesting to see what her sense of humor will be like.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has said that she will be the most powerful character in the MCU and the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy are going to need all the help they can get when they take on Thanos.
What do you think about what Larson had to say about her version of Captain Marvel?
