Bryan Cranston and Ronald D. Moore's Sci-Fi Anthology Series PHILIP K. DICK'S ELECTRIC DREAMS Picked Up By Amazon
Last year we learned that Bryan Cranston would be teaming up with Battlestar Galactica's Ronald D. Moore to develop a sci-fi anthology series called Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams. That series has now officially been picked up for 10 episodes by Amazon.
Cranston is set to produce and star in the series that will feature adaptations of the short sci-fi stories written by Dick. There are hundreds of stories by the author, many of which have already been adapted, but there are a lot that still have yet to be explored on the screen. There are no details on what specific stories they are looking at adapting for the series, but I'm sure they'll be good ones.
Moore will be writing the scripts for the series alongside Michael Dinner of Justified, Travis Beacham (Pacific Rim), Tony Grisoni (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas), Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), Matthew Graham (Doctor Who), David Farr (The Night Manager), and Dee Rees (Bessie).
It's good to see that this series is actually moving forward. Dick has written some great stories and it will be awesome to see some of them adapted for this series. With the kind of talent that they have developing this show, it should turn out to be good!
Are there any specific stories that you'd like to see Moore and his team explore?
