Bryan Fuller Shares Concept Art For Greenlit Adaptation of AMERICAN GODS at Starz

An adaptation of Neil Gaiman's American Gods has been in the works for nearly five years at this point, and after a brief flirtation with HBO, the show has now officially been given the greenlight at Starz with Hannibal's Bryan Fuller and Heroes' Michael Green set as showrunners. And in a move that should certainly please fans, Gaiman himself will be an executive producer on the show.

For those who aren't aware, here's the synopsis for the show (which sounds totally awesome, by the way):

The plot posits a war brewing between old and new gods: the traditional gods of biblical and mythological roots from around the world steadily losing believers to an upstart pantheon of gods reflecting society’s modern love of money, technology, media, celebrity and drugs. Its protagonist, Shadow Moon, is an ex-con who becomes bodyguard and traveling partner to Mr. Wednesday, a conman but in reality one of the older gods, on a cross-country mission to gather his forces in preparation to battle the new deities.

Now Fuller has taken to Twitter to share some concept art for the upcoming series, and Gaiman chimed in as well. These images are pretty damn fantastic. Check these out:

We don't know when we'll see the first episode of American Gods (or even how long the series will run), but it's safe to say that we're looking forward to it.
