CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Trailer Will Reportedly Debut With STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS

Aside from the precious few who were able to see some footage at D23 earlier this year, fans haven't seen any official footage from next year's highly-anticipated blockbuster Captain America: Civil War. But thanks to Collider, we now know when that should change.

Rumors were flying earlier today that the first trailer for the superhero sequel would be attached to Spectre next weekend, but Collider's sources report that the trailer will actually appear in theaters with Star Wars: The Force Awakens. That makes a lot more sense: not only is Star Wars going to have a much bigger audience (Sorry, Mr. Bond), but it's also under the Disney umbrella, so it seems like a natural fit that the studio would want be all about that synergy.

The site also points out that the mysterious Twitter account that may or may not belong to the Russo Brothers (Anthony and Joe, who are directing Civil War) recently tweeted another mysterious image:

What does that have to do with the Civil War trailer playing with Star Wars? Well, that image on the left is apparently a close-up of old Star Wars poster (look at Princess Leia's back):

If that's not a hint, that's quite a coincidence. But even putting the tweet aside, debuting this trailer with The Force Awakens just makes sense from a business perspective, so expect to see the trailer on or around December 17th.
