Captain America Sports His Scail Mail Armor in CIVIL WAR T-shirt Art

A few months ago it was rumored that Captain America would finally wear his comic book trademark scale mail* armor in Captain America: Civil War. That has now been confirmed in some t-shirt promo art that has been spotted. I've been wondering when they would eventually implement this into Cap's suit, and now you get to see how exactly they are going to do that. It might not be what fans were expecting, but it'll work!

We haven't seen this style of suit in any of the leaked set photos that we've seen, so maybe this is a new version of he suit that he acquires later in the story. I'm looking forward to seeing what it's actually like in action.

Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

Civil War hits theaters on May 6th, 2016. Check out the art below and let us know what you think!

*This article previously referred to Cap's armor as chainmail rather than scale mail. You all let us know, and we regret the error.
