Chris Evans and Alice Eve Fall For Each Other in BEFORE WE GO Trailer
Chris Evans has become a superstar thanks to his work as Captain America in the Marvel movies, but the actor also likes to appear in small romantic comedies between blockbusters. In 2013 he starred opposite Michelle Monaghan in Playing It Cool, and that same year he got behind the camera to make his feature directorial debut in another rom-com called Before We Go.
The movie takes place over the course of one night and stars Evans as a guy who tries to help Alice Eve, whose character has her purse stolen in New York City. It's been compared (not particularly favorably) to Richard Linklater's Before trilogy, but I think there's enough here to justify giving this movie a chance. I'm a fan of most of Evans' non-superhero work, and I'm curious to see how he handles the tone in this wildly different genre.
Before We Go is now available on VOD and gets a limited theatrical release starting on September 4th. Thanks to Yahoo for the trailer.
Set in Manhattan, the story follows two strangers after their serendipitous meeting in Grand Central. Over the course of one night, they form an unlikely bond and the conflicts in their own lives become the basis for exploration into each other and themselves.
