Chris Pratt on the Thought of Playing INDIANA JONES
One of the most buzzed about rumors right now is that Chris Pratt could end up playing Indiana Jones is a reboot being developed by Disney. It was also recently reported that Steven Spielberg would like to direct the actor in the film, if the script is to his liking. I imagine Spielberg would want to develop an awesome Indiana Jones movie to make up for The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
MTV caught up with Pratt on the red carpet at the Oscars last night, and they asked him if there has been any actually movement on these reports, and if the pressure would be overwhelming for him to take on a project of such huge magnitude. This is what he had to say:
“It’s all nothing until it’s something and so far it’s not something….I don’t think it’s overwhelming to contemplate….It’d be cool. No one’s called me. (There’s) A lot of talk about it. The pressure would come just because it’s such a great franchise you wouldn’t want to get it wrong, so for me it would have to be perfect to do it. We’ll see, like I said it’s nothing until it’s something.”
The fact of the matter is, this is a project that Disney and Lucasfilm are going to eventually move forward with. Pratt is a hot item in Hollywood right now, and the fans seem to be very open to the idea of him taking on the role of the adventurous archeologist. I know I am! It’d be cool to see Pratt as Jones. Hopefully these reports turn from nothing into something soon.
