Chris Pratt Says GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 Will Be The "Biggest Spectacle Movie of All Time"

Fans of James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy know that the upcoming sequel is going to be an absolute blast to watch. We don't even know what Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will really be about, but judging from what we've seen and what we know, there's no doubt we're going to get something awesome!

According to Chris Pratt, the sequel in going to be the biggest spectacle movie ever. During an interview with the Toronto Sun, he spoke about how proud he is of the film and said:

"It's a fabulous script. I think it's going to be --- I'm not using hyperbole, here - I think it's going to be the biggest spectacle movie of all time."

That's some pretty high praise, but you know what? I believe there's a chance that it really could be! James Gunn even said recently that's what he and Marvel set out to do. While answering his most frequently asked questions he said:

"Marvel and I have the same goal for Guardians Vol. 2 - to make the biggest, most incredible spectacle film of all time, that honors the characters, and surprises audiences in a positive way. So until I screw up, they allow me to do my thing. And I'm grateful for that opportunity."

Awesome! Pratt went on to talk about working on this franchise, saying:

“I’m fortunate. I’m fortunate in so many ways. I couldn’t count the ways, even if I tried. To be part of Guardians of the Galaxy is to be part of a franchise that really is so totally different. It’s new and exciting and unlike anything people had seen before. There are a lot of superheroes out there, but I think we do something a little different. The genesis of these characters was in the Marvel Universe but we do something a little different, more cosmic, with Guardians of the Galaxy.”

He also talked about how Marvel operates when it comes to releasing information on their films, explaining:

“They have the universe drawn up for about 20 years. And they are pretty adamant about us allowing them to release information about the movies and what’s coming down the pike, as they see fit."

Of course, they're not allowed to say anything about the next 20 years!
