Comic Bravely Imagines a World Where TV Is Nice
Good television frequently plumbs the depths of mankind’s basest instincts to reveal truths about the human condition and propel viewers forward into new understanding of their place in the universe. That’s all well and good, but wouldn’t it be easier to watch if everyone was just nice? It would be less dramatic, and without any conflict it would probably be pretty monotonous, but it would be far less challenging to the viewer. This Dorkly comic is brave enough to imagine such a world, and it is all shiny happy people, all the time. The artist’s take on Hannibal is so great. It’s nice to see Dr. Lecter (finally!) use his talent of eating people for good. But it's Thomas the Tank Engine's pledge to turn his life around that really warms my heart.
