Concept Art for Terry Gilliam's Upcoming DON QUIXOTE Project
Director Terry Gilliam has been obsessed with getting his Don Quixote film project off the ground for years. It's something he's been wanting to do for over 30 years. At one point he almost got it made, but unfortunately the production was plagued with problems that forced it to shut down. It's all on record in a documentary called Lost in La Macha.
The movie would be called The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, and last November the director revealed that he was trying to get it back into production and make it his next film project. Now Gilliam has released a piece of new concept art for the project created by Dave Warren. The art came with the following note,
"Dreams of Don Quixote have begun again. Dave Warren has started doodling. Will we get the old bastard back on his horse this year? Human sacrifices welcomed. Stay tuned."
I hope that Gilliam can actually get this film production together, because I would love to see this project finally happen.
