Darren Aronofsky Looking to Direct MOONFALL Sci-Fi Film
Darren Aronofsky is interested in directing a sci-fi film project called Moonfall. The script was written by David Weil, and apparently it's hot shit in Hollywood right now. According to The Wrap there is a ton of buzz surrounding the script.
The story is described as a "Fargo-like thriller that is set on the moon." It's also said to feature a "unique angle rather than the typical point of entry to a sci-fi story set in outer space."
Aronofsky isn't the only filmmaker looking at developing the project. There are multiple studios and high-profile talent who also want to get their hands on it. Apparently Aronofsky has the upper hand at this point as he's already had "exploratory talks" regarding the material.
I wish we had more story details, but it sounds like the film has promise.
