Dave Bautista Teases Role in BLADE RUNNER 2

It looks like there’s a chance that Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista has joined the cast of Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner 2. The actor posted a photo of himself holding a silver origami unicorn. It came with the following caption:

"I can't wait to share some really exciting news..."

For those of you who aren’t sure what the origami unicorn means, in the 1982 sci-fi classic, Gaff, who is played by Edward James Olmos, taunts Deckard (Harrison Ford) with origami figures. Some of those figures included a chicken, a man with an erection, and a unicorn. The unicorn shows up at the very end of the movie as Deckard and Rachael (Sean Young) run away together. Deckard sees the origami unicorn on the floor and picks it up before they leave. As he looks it, we hear the last words spoken in the film by Gaff, "It's too bad she won't live. But then again, who does?"

There are a lot of theories and speculation about what the unicorn symbolizes, but in this case, it seems like it means that Bautista might have another great gig in a big movie!

Blade Runner 2 is being directed by Denis Villeneuve (Prisoners) from a script co-written by Hampton Fancher, who was the co-writer of the first film, and Michael Green. As of right now the rest of the cast includes Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, and Robin Wright.
