DC Creating a Superhero Line Just for Young Girls
As a father of three girls it’s always cool to find superhero stuff that they can get into that would interest them. So I couldn’t be happier when I heard that DC Comics was creating a line based on their female heroes that is targeted towards young girls. This is something my kids will be extremely excited about.
It called DC Super Hero Girls, and it’s being developed in a partnership between DC Comics, Warner Bros. Animation, and Mattel. The line re-imagines a cast of female superheroes (and villains) as young girls, who are coming to grips with their identities and powers.
The product line will include animated direct-to-video movies, books, clothes and toys. This is one of those things I will happily support, because my kids need more geek stuff they can relate to!
