Deadpool Fights Ajax in One of Three New Photos from DEADPOOL
We've got a few new photos from Tim Miller's highly anticipated Deadpool for you to check out today! One of them features Deadpool battling Ajax, who is wielding a couple of menacing-looking axes. This is apparently a glimpse at the final battle between these two characters in the movie. It takes place on "the flight deck of a crashed airship." I also included a shirtless image of Ryan Reynolds for all you geek ladies out there, as well as an alternate magazine cover for Empire.
When talking about this fight scene in an interview with EW, Ed Skerin, who plays Ajax, says:
"Ryan’s like Muhammad Ali, dancing around, whispering in my ear, and I’m George Foreman. Every blow is like a haymaker and I just want to take his head off."
Ryan Reynolds talks about going up against his opponent for the first time saying:
"Ed got yoked for the movie. I saw his arms and got pretty upset at myself for not working out harder."
The actor goes on to talk about the mood on the set and how it was basically a joke factory:
"[The set] was an alternate-joke factory. For one joke in the movie we wrote 16 versions."
We've seen a few different takes of these jokes in the trailers that have been released.
