DEADPOOL: Ryan Reynolds Says "It's Happening The Right Way" — Talks Budget and Video Leak

A Deadpool movie is finally happening! A leaked script and leaked video pushed fan fervor to new heights last year, which gave FOX the confidence to green-light the production of the new movie. Ryan Reynolds, who loves the character, put up with years of development hell to hold on to the role. While at Sundance, the actor was interviewed by MTV and talked about the production, the video leak, and getting the film done right.

Because the MTV video is hit and miss for our readers on mobile, here are a few great quotes from the interview.

“It’s been a long time (11 years), but it’s happening the right way, and that’s all that matters."
“Yeah, I would've leaked that footage myself! Looking back now? In a heartbeat! I should go home and scan the old hard drive and see what I got in there!”

We're about a year away from seeing Deadpool hit the big screen. 20th Century Fox has set it for release on February 12th, 2016.
