Details on Dan Aykroyd’s GHOSTBUSTERS Reboot Cameo
Dan Aykroyd has confirmed that he will be making a cameo role in Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters reboot, and no, he will not reprise his role as Ray Stantz. This is what he posted on his Facebook page:
“ON SET OF GHOSTBUSTERS SHOOTING MY SCENE WITH THE FUNNY AND BEAUTIFUL KRISTEN WIIG. LADY GB’S are adorable, beautiful,…”
We also have details on the part that he plays in the film. According to Indie Revolver, Aykroyd will be playing a taxi driver that Kristen Wiig's character attempts to hail. Apparently, "Aykroyd throws out the iconic line, ‘I ain’t afraid of no ghosts.’ And drives away with Wiig yelling something along the lines of ‘That’s a double negative! That means you are afraid of ghosts!’”
I can’t help but roll my eyes at this little exchange, but maybe it will flow better when I actually see it happening in context with the rest of the film.
Aykroyd is very enthusiastic about this project. I just know for a fact that it will in no way shape or form come close to being as good as the original movie. I would have been a lot happier with another sequel. What do you think about Aykroyd’s cameo?
