Details On How Batman Will Fit in With SUICIDE SQUAD
Thanks to El Mayimbe from Latino-Review, we've had some really cool updates on director David Ayer's Suicide Squad film. You can read about Deadshot's role in the film here, and some interesting information he provided about Jared Leto's Joker here.
He's back with some additional intel, and this time it focuses on how Batman will fit in with the film. I should probably throw out a SPOILER warning just in case because the information seems like it's crucial to the story, even though it's small. So if you don't want to know, stop reading now.
"According to sources, in the film Batman is some sort of big boogeyman that the government REALLY hates. Get this, prior to the events in #BatmanvSuperman, THE JOKER is the only one to really ever meet him or know him and that's why he's so important to Amanda Waller. They have footage of Batman in action which they watch. There is a bit of dialogue where they say Batman is the key to tracking down all 'the supers.' Very cool stuff."
None of this has been confirmed, but I'm pretty confident that the information you see here is true because El Mayimbe has a pretty solid track record for getting stuff like this right. Of course, anything could change in the development process of the film between now and when they start shooting.
I do like how they also acknowledge that Batman is the key to finding the other superheroes, and how that is obviously going to lead into Justice League. I really hope Warner Bros. finally cracked the code on building their DC cinematic universe.
