Details on Martin Freeman’s Character in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR
A couple of days ago we learned that Martin Freeman has been cast in Captain America: Civil War. It wasn’t revealed who exactly he will be playing, but Latino-Review has offered up some additional information that gives us a good idea of who Freeman could be playing.
They say that "Martin Freeman plays some sort of interrogator and he will return to appear in Black Panther." They present that information as fact, and then go on to speculate who that character could be, and the character they bring up makes a lot of sense. He could also serve as an Agent Coulson-type character that can be used to connect certain stories and people together in the MCU.
Freeman could be playing a character from the Marvel comic book universe named Everett Ross. He’s a US Government agent who is assigned to work in Wakanda, which is where Black Panther resides. Ross is an expert at all things Wakanda, and works alongside government agencies and Special Forces teams.
The personality of the character fits Freeman perfectly, so it wouldn’t at all be surprising if this is the character that he takes on.
